I was shocked at the prices of new homes in Udon.

They seem awfully steep, for that place.

Moved to Chiang Mai this month and was equally surprised to see some better homes that were cheaper than Udon.

I would be interested if, once you arrived in Udon, what your opinion of the new prices were....around ring road, closer to the airport ...there are some new projects.

In Chiang Mai i get some offers for brand new house 3br + 2 bath, land about 50 tlw, start about 1,2 MIO THB. But i have to move to Udon, that´s why i ask in here.

Like i said, right now i am not in Thailand, that´s why i hope anybody in here can help me by bring me in contact (E Mail, Homepage, Phone number....) with somebody from a mo ban Project in Udon.

I was there yesterday and there are many new projects in the airport area, I am back there in 2 weeks and will take note of a few telephone numbers for you.

It sounds nice, thank you. :-)

My wife and I are moving to Udon Thani in February and leasing a house for a year just to get living there sorted out. After that I want to build a new house on 7 Rai we have towad Nong Bua Lamphu. Has anyone recently gone through this either using local labor or using a builder or any other method who can advise me about their experience both good and bad? Also what would you do differently if you started again?

Thanks

Konun (not sure of spelling) subdivision near Nong Sim Park seems popular. Has a pool. I think 2 million and up. I have an australian acquaintance (married to a friend of my wife). If you give me your phone number (private mail) I will have them call you. It is a very convenient location...not far from the main points in Udon (the Mall and night market and nong sim park). Looked a bit crowded for my taste..and a bit overly stocked with farangs. Safety in numbers..and can't be bad if so many like it.
