Ayutthaya by river boat from Bangkok

Featured Replies

I've read that this excursion is no-longer possible on conventional tourist vessels. Only by longboat? Are there any smaller boats with sleeping accommodations and overnight arrangements?

First time I went to Thailand I did the bus up to Ayutthaya via Bang-Pa In and the boat back down the river. I really enjoyed it.

That's how I did it ... enjoyed it also.

Recommended that trip to my Sister, 5 years later ... she loved it.

What we refer to is not the trip in Post #2 ... because you asked for an 'overnight' trip.
