vspin134 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I frequent walk from Nana station to Trendy building on narrow Suk13...and worse with no sidewalk at all.
hellohello123 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I'm staying on soi13 Sure its.not perfect, but it's all part of thailand But judging by the number of hotels going up there, maybe it would be good, to buy one of those shops opposite the Hyde for a bar in anticipation of the future
David48 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Yep ... walked it many times (over the years). But, maybe it's because it's Sunday, maybe it's because I'm enjoying my 3rd (small) beer ... what is the subject or question of the post?
smokie36 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 As David said...I am only on my second beer and can't understand what you are getting at?
tonytigerbkk Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 While I do not drink, I am only on my second bag of glue for the day and I cant remember why I'm posting. 2
personchester Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 The photo does not show the Trendy building, why not ...
Tywais Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 The photo does not show the Trendy building, why not ... You can take the walk yourself and see it. Sukhumvit 13 1
Rumblecat Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Lot of streets in Bangkok (and Thailand) don't have sidewalks / pavements. And...? Not sure where this topic is going. Guess wherever it's going it's on the road though.
smokie36 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 No one walks down there Tywais...its bike taxi to the Crossbar territory...come on!
vento Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I drive there often and its no fun. One time my side mirror hits someones backpack. Nothing serious, but just shows how it is there Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Bpuumike Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Don't admit to this forum that you work in the Trendy building.
David48 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 The photo does not show the Trendy building, why not ... You can take the walk yourself and see it. Sukhumvit 13 Actually, that's some recent images (past couple of months, if not later) on that link. Who knows what will be available as a Footpath once the new building, currently under construction is completed. I used to enjoy a late night (early morning) beer on that corner (great for people watching) until a few years ago untill a certain demographic took over that area and made it less enjoyable.
personchester Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The photo does not show the Trendy building, why not ... You can take the walk yourself and see it. Sukhumvit 13 Strange reply ... because anyone "can" take the walk, but passport applicants "must" take the walk. To have seen the Trendy building in this picture would have been positive for those chaps walking to the Trendy building to renew their passport.
Kaoboi Bebobp Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Actually, that's some recent images (past couple of months, if not later) on that link. Who knows what will be available as a Footpath once the new building, currently under construction is completed. I used to enjoy a late night (early morning) beer on that corner (great for people watching) until a few years ago untill a certain demographic took over that area and made it less enjoyable. I abandoned that late night scene too a few years back. For the same reason and others. I really used to enjoy that stretch from Asok corner to soi 11. But I don't go down that way at all anymore. Representatives from that demographic and lady boys have taken over. And since I don't fit another demographic, haven't been to Thermae in years. I would not want to live on soi 13 because of what you'd have to walk through after 11 pm and I am including the smell or street urine. 1
VocalNeal Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Better would be use Soi 11 and Massage Alley? If coming from lower numbered Sois
sfokevin Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I find it safer to walk in the street than any sidewalk in Bangkok...
Zeegator Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The photo does not show the Trendy building, why not ... Yes it does, it's that massive office/residential building after the Miami Hotel.
