LA Clippers sale 'can go ahead' despite Sterling's objections

LOS ANGELES: -- A US judge has ruled that the LA Clippers basketball team can be sold, despite the objections of banned co-owner Donald Sterling.

Judge Michael Levanas said the $2bn sale could go ahead.

Mr Sterling, 80, had been contesting his estranged wife Shelly's decision to sell the basketball team franchise to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

Mr Sterling was banned from basketball for life after he was recorded making racist remarks in April.

The Los Angeles court case focused on allegations that Mrs Sterling used medical tests of her husband's mental capacity to remove him as a member of the trust that owned the team, and deceived him into selling.

This is a beautiful thing for the NBA, and especially for Los Angeles. The Clippers have essentially become the team in LA, with the demise of the Lakers, who may require a decade to rebuild, with or without Scott as coach. Kobe is a handicapped man. He will never be the same player he was. Gasol is gone. Who do they have? I doubt Boozer, and Jordan Hill are capable of turning that team around, especially considering how tough that division is. And Buss is a pretty mediocre owner, without a basketball mind.

The Clippers are one player away from being a real contender. With an owner like Ballmer, and the deep pockets he has, this could be a different team. Very exciting prospects for the future, and one of the true toads of the NBA is history, with the courageous court decision just handed down. Imagine seeing justice like that in the LOS?

Donald Sterling is the lowest form of humanity. I beat him in L.A. Superior Court and laughed in his face.

What was the case and how did you beat him in court???

Please tell....
