HUA HIN:-- To promote His Majesty the King’s sufficiency economy philosophy for sustainability, organic farming experts from the Chiva-Som International Health Resorts Co., Ltd. volunteered their time and expertise to teach the students of Bo Fai School in Hua Hin how to grow their own organic vegetable and herb gardens.

The students were eager to participate and are responsible for maintaining the garden. The fresh produce will be used in the school kitchen as healthy ingredients for the daily meals prepared for the students, teachers and staff.

Chiva-Som farmers will monitor the plant growth and guide the students to produce the highest quality and yield. The new garden hosts a variety of organically propagated plants from the Chiva-Som Organic Farm including Thai basil, lemon basil, pandan, lemongrass, green and red lettuce, bitter melon, angled loofah, baby corn and zucchini.

Special thanks have been offered to the Chiva-Som Social Welfare Department for organising this great initiative with the full support of the Organic Farming Team.
