I am looking for any solid recommendations any members maybe able to offer.

 

I am seeking to contact a meter taxi driver that I can use for my regular trips to Bangkok. Should be friendly honest and speak good English.

There are many taxi companies serving Bangkok and very few of them cover the whole metropolis. I was working out west in Salaya and my boss would fly in and want to take a taxi out to my side of town but not every 'city' taxi wanted to go out there and hardly any 'suburban' taxis wanted to run into the city. Coming back would usually take at least 2 separate cabs, typically staging at a shopping mall mid-journey. Let us know where you are living and then some others in the same area may have recommendations.

 

To be honest, I haven't heard of anyone having a 'regular' Bangkok cabby but I did when I was in Kuala Lumpur since their city taxis are really a bunch of highwaymen and once you find a good one, you use him even though you may have to wait a while.

I travel through Bangkok regularly, and often I don't drive, so I need to grab a taxi to go to other places outside of Bangkok - he's been excellent.
