did you forgot to leave a generous tip?

Tip the playpens? Stroll on, I've heard it all now. Out of curiosity, do you tip at 7-11?

Op, things change on a whim especially when Thai females are involved. Being empty and that you are a farang may have had her thinking you would scare off any potential Thai customers. Or perhaps the stigma that your other half must be a worker...

Why not? Most 7-11s have a tip box on the counter. I'm sure the loose change accumulated over the week is a nice boost to their meagre wages!

no 7-11, doesnt have tip box, but in their counter they do have donation box for charity. I guess you always avoid the counter with this box.whistling.gif

Possibly on the 1st occasion they thought there was no way to communicate with you. With your wife there they had the option.

We had a conversation in Thai as myself and the daughter went in. smile.png

I presume you talking about play area inside a shopping mall. If so, the rules are very clear my friend. An adult may enter the play area but most definitely cannot use the play equipment. Two reasons: 1 Having adults using the play equipment is dangerous for toddlers. You may think you are safe but other not so careful adults could slam into unaccompanied kids and cause serious injury. The rules are clearly written on entrance usually by a scale indicating minimum/maximum child height. 2 the equipment is NOT designed for adults and there are weight limits on the equipment. If this was now of the play areas inside a shopping mall then you deserved to get your butt kicked off. If my child was playing there I would have demanded it!

I agree. Thai culture generally does not encourage employees to think independently and make up their own rules on the job. I know from my own experience working in Thailand, the Thais do what they are told and don't deviate. So it was probably a rule that they didn't enforce until the boss was around.

Maybe the wife made the difference....

Those young Thai girls wanted you to give them their own farang baby...

When Mommy showed up, it ruined their fantasy.

Try it again without the wife!

I think if you go back and check the rules for adults using the slide with the kids, this can all be resolved amicably. I too suspect it has something to do with weight or safety.

They were jealous of you and your daughter being happy together? Come on! You're being rediculous.

I'm sure there is something to it all, jyst not sure what it is.

Does your wife look like or was a bar girl? Not being judgemental, just seems like its the only thing I can work out here.
