CM area teachers beware: The Man is a comin'

Featured Replies

The Immigration in the CM area was at one of the CM TEFL schools earlier this week. They have also been spotted in uniform outside at least one school in CM that employs foreign teachers within the past 24 hours.

Make sure you know where you stand with your work permit. If you are a new hire, possibly starting at a University this month, I imagine the University told you to start work and THEN you'll get a B visa, and WP. Remember no WP means you can't work, no matter how honest everyone's intentions are. If you do have a WP and it says you work at 123 fake street, you better only be working at 123 fake street. This hasn't been a major problem in the past, but times they are a changin'

They got the over-stayers and the visa-runners. Teacher's are up to bat next (the ones left who weren't visa-runners).

Any trolls out there on an O visa because of family or age, let the comments rip! I am sure you are bullet proof. . . . . . .Unless they raised the retirement age, or changed the definition of "family" or any other arbitrary thing . . . .

A "CM TEFL School."  Wouldn't that mean that they were at a school where people allegedly go study to become teachers?  Were they there to warn prospective teachers or check status of people actually teaching the TEFL course, who have been known to be in grey areas?

I've noticed an increase in the number of household moving sales recently...younger couples and singles....selling stuff that was recently purchased.
