File Converters

Featured Replies

Bit of help needed............

Does anyone know a piece of freeware that converts Bmp to Jpeg?

I need to print on a dvd disc................am using an Epson R230 printer but for some reason it will not recognise Bmp images.

Ive tried using Solid Converter (on trial) but although it converts the file easy enough to Jpeg when i open the converted file the image (hard to describe ) looks as though the contrast has been turned up to maximum.

Tried a search here and the pinned apps thread but no luck.

Cheers.

If you're using XP ,the Paint program included will do the job.

Start->Programs->Accessories->Paint.

Open the bmp.

Then File-Save As and change to JPG.

MS Paint that comes with Windows should do the job just fine :o

Open the .bmp file, hit <file> <save as>, choose .jpeg as the type, bingo :D

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Check the "Free applications" pinned up at the top. The image viewers and image manipulation programs listed there will do the job. Fastone (www.fastone.org) is a nice general purpose viewer.
