Filemaker Pro 13 Trial

Featured Replies

I have a copy of Filemaker Pro 13 Advanced trial ...

I have tried to download on 3 different computers.... all with the same results... cannot compile folder, etc.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest downloading another Trial Copy direct from FileMaker.

FileMakerPro v13 30-Day Trial

Have tried that...

Request a free 30-day FileMaker Pro 13 trial

Have tried that. Would not download to Thailand. I got trial version from FileMaker in Singapore.... No good.

Got another from FileMaker Australia. Ditto.

While FileMakerPro is produced by an apple subsidiary, the Windows version usually installs without issue. Unfortunately I found no matches when googling "FileMaker cannot compile folder", or finding a similar issue when googling "FileMaker v13 install issue". If you continue to receive the error, copy down the error message exact as displayed and do a google search to see if the issue can be resolved. Otherwise you can try posting the issue here, or on a FileMaker forum.

I would suggest you

go Offline (disable Internet access),

turn your system's AntiVirus Software off, then

install using Administrator Mode (right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator" )

Thanks, but have tried that,

Ditto results.

Have done Goggle search... nil results.

This type of error can occur when the directory names become too long (especially if you are installing to a secondary or network drive, and not "C:\Program Files\" )

Another issue reported that that the 'installer' has issues when installed from a deeply 'nested' location. One possible solution would be to copy the installer to " C:\ " and run it from that location.

So try copying the installer to your C: root directory and launch it from there.

Older version, similar issue, quoted text from FileMaker Forum

For me the solution was ...

I went to the (extracted) folder FMICD ... then to the folder "Files"

In the folder "Files" I started the file setup.exe

Problem solved.
