Best firewall distro for home? Pfsense? IPCop? What else?

Featured Replies

I bought atom d2550 with 4x gbit lan, 1gb ram, 8gb ssd (mini itx) mini pc from china.

I installed pfsense, however I found out it is not designed for home users. I managed to set everything, but failed in IPv6 dhcp settings. IPv6 tunnel works but it doesn't provide correct ipv6 via dhcp. I'm sure there is a way to overcome that but I don't see the point of dealing with pfsense unless you are a network expert.

Then I tried clearos, the idea of having fully blown linux distro and apps was appealing. However I noticed that there is too few settings. No IPv6 support either! (There is, but not via GUI).

I plan to try IPCOP today.

Any suggestions? I won't use dual wan at the moment and I prefer an easy openvpn client.
