I remember when I went to Samui before I rented a Kawasaki enduro bike for 700 baht but there was no insurance. I didn't see what any of the other places had to offer, just took the nearest one to my hotel.

Are there any legit places that provide you some sort of damage insurance?

In Chiang Mai where I'm currently located, they give you insurance on big bikes, where you only have to pay 20% of repair costs in case of a crash. Had a 2014 Honda CB650F for a weekend, which would be pretty expensive to fix in case of a crash.

Agree ohm seems to be the best j have dealt with but I don't know about insurance

Not included in the cost for sure...but maybe could be added...best check with Ohm

It's pretty crazy to rent something worth +300k baht without insurance imo., since if you crash it properly you'd have to pay for a new bike! A 110cc scooter I'm sure many can afford, but not a new 650cc bike.
