any ideas on the actual company that runs the VIP deluxe buses between BKK and Phuket ? the ones with huge seats and lots of room ? tried ticketmaster etc no such thing ....

Phuket Central Tour from Sai Tai Mai Bus Station (Southern Terminal). I've ride. Both the 1st Class and VIP Bus and its safe enough, a little food handed out although I rather bring my own.. Typical toilet door being left swinging in the breeze occasionally which can send a smell if you are close (expected on all bus's here except Nakhon Chai Air) and a very cold air con.. Bring yourself a jacket as blankets are thin.

Ive attached their prices for you on a pic from their counter about 2 mths ago... Usually buy the ticket as I arrive to the station.. Also, most taxi's don't like to goto Sai tai so don't wait til the last minute to head out there.

Once you get to Phuket you can make your way to the SongTaew's to get across the island for 30 baht or you have the tuktuk/taxi's offering their service at 500baht.
