A rescue worker points to where Mr Zhong ended up in the ditch.

PHUKET: -- A Chinese tourist who apparently fell asleep on his rented motorbike early this morning (September 4) rode into a roadside ditch and was badly injured.

Zhong Li Fong, 38, crashed at 1am in front of Ujareon Village in Pa Khlok.

A friend of Mr Zhong, who was riding another bike behind him as they made their way back from Patong to Cape Yamu, where they were staying, told police, “He was driving through some curves when he went straight on into the ditch and hit a pipe on his way down.

"I think he must have fallen asleep because it was quite late.”

Mr Zhong was initially taken to Thalang Hospital and was later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital.

Ha ha, very funny......pointing out with a big smile in his face.

Hope Mr Zhong will recover soon, not so funny for me.

"Sleepy". Lol. Yeah, alcohol does that.

I can 100% believe he was asleep - people used to sleep at red traffic lights in Beijing.

I have seen staff sleep in kitchens between orders, cause you know why not............

Look at that doof "Rescue Worker".blink.png

A real compassionate professional.

Should have been fired on the spot.

Why????

Because, he‘s laughing?

You are able to assess somebody's skills on his facial expression?

I think, to do this rescue service on Thailand roads you must be tough and take it sometimes with some humor.

And maybe, he did not have seen a long time some moron like this. Fall asleep on a motorbike.

I am just wondering that not all are finger pointing to an invisible accident.

That rescue worker should go back to where he belongs, in a super Mario game.

Quite easy to assess.

When he's standing there laughing while pointing at someone in distress.

"And maybe, he did not have seen a long time some moron like this."

And how are you able to assess that?

While insulting the victim as well. (Another assessment)

I have no idea what that gibberish means...

I reinterate: The man should have been fired on the spot.wai2.gifwai.gif

0% chance he fell asleep. One falls asleep in a car on long stretches of highway late at night or after going a day or more with out sleep, not while riding a motorbike on a twisty bit of road in a foreign country. This quote apparently came from his friend who is just trying to cover for him. That's why the author used quotes around the word.
