Can we get it anywhere in Chiang Mai?

I haven't seen it for sale anywhere in CM yet, but it's available in Bangkok (Ad Here on Samsen Rd is one bar that stocks it regularly).

As far as I know, The BeerLao breweries don't have any licence for Thailand.

GP, among your customers, I'm sure there are a lot of expats doing monthly visa runs to Chiang Khong or Nong Khai, order a six pack from one of them.

Its former name is Bière Larue and it's (or It was) made not from treated water but spring water.
