Phuket Town water supplies off for 7 hours today Wednesday

PHUKET: -- Mains water supplies will be turned off for seven hours in Phuket Town tomorrow (September 17).

The water will be cut off while the Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority works on power cables into the main water pumping station.

Water supplies will be cut from 9 am to 4 pm in the following streets and sois running off them:

Damrong Rd from the water supply office to the intersection at Phuket Provincial Hall;
Suthat Rd; Montri Rd;
Luang Por Rd;
Thalang Rd from the post office to the Thepkrasattri Rd intersection;
Phang Nga Rd from Thepkrasattri Rd to the Shell petrol station T-junction;
Phuket Rd from the Phang Nga Rd to Sapan Hin (includes Soi Sansuk 1 and 2, Kor Pai Rd and Sapan Hin Rd);
Surin Rd;
Srisuthat Rd;
Vichit Songkhram Rd from Pathiphat Rd intersection to the front of Thai Hua School;
Phatthana Rd;
Soi Lorong;
Pathiphat Rd from Khao Rang intersection to Jui Tui shine;
Ranong Rd from Jui Tui shine to Wichit Songkhram Rd intersection;
Yaowarat Rd from Merlin Hotel to Phuket Polytechnic College;
Damrong Rd from the front of water supply office at Satri Phuket School side to Satri School intersection;
Palien Rd;
Phuyai Baan Rd;
Kamnan Rd;
Narisorn Rd;
Reu Patthana Rd;
Trang Rd; and
Amphur Rd.

Anyroad, a main pumping station that doesn’t have both duty and standby generators and pumps? Wot’s providing the mains pressure for the street fire hydrants? Hab sheesh...coffee1.gif

I hope the Thai Army looks into who's behind the water trucks on Phuket, and who is their contact at the Government water supply.

Seriously, look at all the rain here, yet, more and more buildings are having to have water trucked in, at extra cost.

Something is not right.
