XBMC Parental Control

Is there a way to restrict access to movies based on MPAA rating ? The rating is available in "Movie information" but I haven't find anywhere in the settings how to restrict the access (password ?) based on this information.

Maybe one way is to share your "family" movies on one share, and anything you'd prefer adults only on a seperate, hidden share or something - i guess thats how i do it..

Thanks for the advises but MPAA is more than "PORN" and "NON-PORN".

How it Works

Select the video addons you want to protect and the ratings you want to allow. Supports both TV and Movie ratings. This addon will ask for an unlock code before granting access to any content you have blocked. It works best with video addons that supply an MPAA rating such as the bluecop hulu addon. Video addons which don't supply an MPAA rating will require an unlock code to view any content. Entering the code will unlock the parental controls for 5 minutes.

Encrypt it with bitlocker/truecrypt and no-one will be able to access it without a password.

First of all "have intimate relations with yourself", i've been a user of XBMC since the early Alphas on the Original Xbox.

If you can't read, append a share with $ to not display it.

I suggest you learn how to use the program before commenting.
