Delays at Bangrak?

Just a warning - there is a BIB or two at every junction (and spaces in between) from the Airport road at Bangrak market - right up to the traffic lights at FV.

I guess that somone important is due to arrive at some stage.

Also, the traffic lights at FV are off with BIB's on point duty.

I noticed increased activity around 'the usual place' between Bophut & Maenam & came to the same conclusion.

No V.I.P.'s... it was just a training exercise... as I found out by chatting to a 'bobby' at the end of our road.

Wow - a good training exercise then. Later in the night, the BIB's came and 'moved on' all of the parked cars and bikes in Bangrak. Mind you - they only cleared one side of the road.

Approx 9 pm a convoy of police cars and a minibus came 'flashing' through.

A policeman said it was for a member of the royal family when asked by a Thai friend last night. Notice the blue flags along with the yellow ones.

There has been a lot of "extra" street cleaning lately.... that is usually a good indication of some VIP coming.... plus there are jets flying around last couple of days.... not sure if that is related or not.... seems to happen a few times a year!
