We should bombard the TAT with emails explaining to them how stupid they look to the rest of the world. Maybe make some recommendations such as finding new TAT employees, some with an education, travel experience and world knowledge.

no cares about the french, but spain, that is another matter. they are pissed about the thai plan to have a running of the tuk tuks down pracha uthit blvd. next year. they said the embassy would be closed in protest & the 3 thai staff fired.

Thai news are notorious for reporting rumors instead of doing their research and homework, they run with any sensational headline and point their fingers back at their source if its inaccurate, they have no shame of bad reporting

Hmmm, making the obligatory "Hub" joke when the topic is racing bikes is a bit too easy

Well, you spoke first eh?rolleyes.gif

Most people are tired of the announcements by TAT which cause a chain reaction of comments by the public. TAT just aren't geared up to handle these events, yet they try to pump up everybody concerned with their silly plans, fork out loads of money and in the end, the Thai taxpayer gets saddled with the cost.

Give us a brake!

Oh my god, I can see the trouble already ahead, from French citizens being refused entry to Thailand now.

How about the F1 race in Bangkok planned and approved for next year ?

Anyone know the dates for the Thai 2105 F1 race ?

Yes!!!

The Thai F1 GP will take place on 01/04/2015 or on 04/01/2015, depending wether you are using the European or the American calender system.

Laugh it up you TAT bashers, but I'll be laughing at you when I'm watching SA demolish Thailand at Rachadamangalafarfarla stadium in 2016's Rugby Championship :P

Thai people are very knowledgeable about sports and very enthusiastic. There is no reason why the Olympic Games, World Cup and every great sporting event shouldn't be in Bangkok....it is the perfect venue, with perfectly behaved fans...

Mind you, they can't even get the futsal stadium done in time for the game & you seriously want them to try the Olympic & WC?blink.png

how about an even better one to add insult to injury, bombard TAT asking where one can buy tickets for the "Tour de Thailand", the planned stages, where the hill climbs will be etc... wink.png

good. That event and all world class events should only be held in civilized counties that respect freedom of speech and human rights.

One of the many things I love about Thailand is that usually you will find something in the news that will give you a good laugh. I hope it never changes this aspect of its idiosyncratic style.

FA Cup Final?

Americas Cup?

So after being caught red handed about the lying, he decides to improve his staement with an even bigger lie. What was that new TAT slogan again?

After saying yesterday he expects "Thailand to play the perfect host to this esteemed and prominent cycling race as early as in 2015," authority Governor Thawatchai Arunyik walked the claim back in the Reuters report:

"We are still talking with Tour de France organisers but we are looking at next fiscal year. So 2016, not 2015," he said. "Were not sure yet how many stages we will hold whether it is one or two stages or the whole competition. This is something that still needs to be discussed."

"The whole competition"555555.It would be the Tour de Thailand then, wouldn't it,Gov.It will be a short discussion, with a one word reply.Maybe a Tour organiser will get a junket out of it.
