Oops! I swapped my usual waterproof GoPro Hero 2 back for one with holes for some bike and skateboard videos. Yesterday took it out for Songkran and now it doesn't work. Yep.... forgot to swap the back door! Doh!

Hairdryer and dry rice has not revived it. Good excuse to buy a Hero 4!

Whether you believe in it or not climate change is here. After living in SEA

for over 40 years I reckon it is hotter nowadays than when I first arrived,

in fact I know it's hotter. The wet-dry seasons do not happen like clockwork

as they used to. Farmers are having trying times growing crops that were easy

"in the old days" to plant & grow. Potable water is becoming scarce in many

regions of the world as are staple food sources.

I have my reasons to support my observations concerning climate change

and it's not odd that some scientists & researchers also support my observations

and findings as these folks believe in the same root cause. The results of this

root cause are exponentially increasing daily and there seems to be no end in

sight or means to stop the increase...let alone how to slow it down.

The root cause is scary indeed and has serious consequences for the future

of the human race...and for this planet.

But instead of spoiling everybody's day by hacking a long drawn out thesis

or by simply posting the thesis I wrote 10 years ago...let's watch a neat

GoPro video instead OK!

If anybody is interested in my findings PM me. I'm happy to share.

To me...this is brilliant....hope y'all enjoy it...

very cool . . . that's about the only (tame/trained) bird i can think of where it would 'work' (and it does) to get that good a view/perspective . . . thanks to the huge bill, of course.

^^^GH...I wonder how much GoPro charges for their pelican bill camera mount?!

There's some good GP vids out there with the cameras mounted on vultures

& large eagles but the pelican one was pretty smooth.

^^^ I feel the same way;.a simply lovely, smooth video....

and the pelican returns too. My first thought when watching

was bye-bye camera & the guy has to locate the bird....but

no...the bird's a pet & returned home after its flight.

Sure would have been interesting if it had seen some fish

but perhaps that's wishing a bit too much.

That Pelican is pretty much unbeatable when it comes to awesome bird vids on the web . . . . however, today i found this pair of cute burrowing Owls that definitely forged a very slight smile on my usually rigid & rusted up chops....

They're not in the same league as Percy Pelican, but i feel they may have a prosperous future on celluloid...(once they get a decent choreographer)
