Bye Thailand. I'm going to miss you.

... In one bar the prettiest "girl" was a ladyboy, she was more feminine polite and riap roy than some of the others on display.

I'm always up for learning something new.

What does 'riap roy' translate as?

Dunno why the guy went back.

Not like he can make much more there than he does here

Least he had a fit bird and a good life here

... so he tells us.

The world needs great minds, creative thinkers ... even the occasional Story Teller.

The Fantasy world is so much better then the daily grind.

OK well you're entitled to your opinion but I think if he was gonna lie, he'd have told us he was living like Puff Daddy with bikini-clad girls gyrating around a rooftop pool, not earning 30K as a teacher

Is a fit bird particularly difficult to come by in Thailand?

The OP is very short and mentions nothing about finances. This all he gave us.

"I'm really going to miss this country, but I need to fly back home."

It is so hard because you perceive it that way. Think about when you come back and if that isn't possible then think about all the great times you had here.

After getting married, it took three years to get my wife a visa to get into the states.

The best I could do was thirty day visits.

Close to tears every time I had to leave Thailand..

We got her to the states and after six years we relocated here in Thailand.

I have not left the country since!

I understand...happy landings and hurry back.

Choke Dee!

He had another thread asking if he should stay in or leave Thailand

Having been coming and going from here for many years, our trips are getting less frequent and honestly, I used to feel as you did. Not so much anymore. I do enjoy the country while we are here but when it's time to go home I'm ready to go. We live in central PA now and wouldn't live anywhere else! Good luck to you. Thailand will always be there when the spirit moves you.
