Asia's first 'water jungle' being developed in Hua Hin
The Nation

HUA HIN: -- The Bt900 million Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle is Asia's first "water jungle".

It is being developed by Proud Real Estate Co to serve tourist demand.

The facilities, interior and landscaping are designed to be functional but kind to the environment.

The roof is designed as a three-dimensional organic shape, creating a natural brand mark for the project. The iconic structure will be illuminated at night and will be visually prominent when viewed from Phetchkasem Road.

With synergy with nature in mind, the design is inspired by, and surrounded by, dense tropical forests.

A grey water management system and micro-irrigation system have been installed to recapture and recycle water to ensure the tropical sanctuary flourishes all-year round, creating an exotic tropical experience in a beach resort town.

A49, the architect, said the refreshingly cool, modern design is reflected in all areas including the shops, restaurants, cafes, lounges and event spaces.

The project's customised experience will ensure unique and amazing journeys, visits and revisits for all ages.

The project occupies 20 rai of a 35-rai site.

The remaining 15 rai will be developed as a 400-room, four-star hotel and condominium. The hotel and condo are scheduled to be completed in 2016 and 2017.

The grand opening of the water jungle is planned for December.

Khon Thai 100 Baht...Farrang 600 Baht.

Do you know that as a fact? Or are you making a hyperbolic assumption?

Here's a link to the jungle's website. Looks impressive.

Thanks. So it's not really a "water jungle", it's just a water amusement park.

Seems like a great place for snakes and monitor lizards to live around, doesn't it? I've read plenty of "snake in my yard" posts in the Hua Hin subforum.

I'll be watching with interest as to what the admission pricing will be. Thai vs farang for one AND if these guys are smart enough to perhaps offer an annual pass and of course what the actual baht amounts are.

The traffic problem that this baby is going to create ( or add to ) is going to be something to behold.

Cheers!

rolleyes.gif Just another over priced tourist trap.

Within a year, two at the most, lack of proper maintenance will start taking it's tool, and the inevitable accidents will happen.

Thais never consider the maintenance aspect, and things fall apart.

No profit in paying for maintenance you see.
