PATTAYA: -- Following the news that a 9 year old boy was seriously injured by a firework he had purchased from a store on Sunday Night in Central Pattaya, Local Government Officials began their investigation into the incident by visiting the scene of the accident.

The team of District Government Officers and members of the Thai Army visited the constructor’s campsite in Soi 25 off Pattaya Third Road on Monday and met the Sister of the 9 year old victim, Khun Noi aged 29.

She updated officials with the sad news that the boy has lost 3 fingers due to the accident and was transferred to Chonburi Hospital for specialist care. It was confirmed the boy purchased the firework without the knowledge of other family members and when he returned to the camp, he prepared to ignite the firework by lighting the fuse.

At the same time, Khun Noi saw what was happening and shouted over to the boy to stop what he was doing as their Father would be extremely angry if he saw what was happening.

Terrible Headline

The incident isn't 9 years old, the victim is.

^^ I thought the same thing.

Pretty difficult to get the RTP to investigate something 9 minutes old much less 9 years old.

A 9 year old shopping for fireworks ?

Who gave him the money ?

Very irresponsible carer, who should be prosecuted. No excuses at all.

carers can't stop children getting hold of small amounts of money but shop owners don't have to sell dangerous goods to children
