Information Technology Networking

Featured Replies

We are a software development company which has been serving overseas customers with off-shore development for many years but are now looking to target the local Thai market either as subcontractor to larger firms or taking on projects for local SMEs.

We are trying to find relevant events for networking with potential partners and/or customers, other than the large trade shows in Bangkok and the embassy chambers of commerce. E.g. networking groups specialized in information technology. Basically, we are trying to understand how the software development industry is organized in Thailand.

It would be much appreciated if anyone could give as a hint about relevant networking communities or/and any national professional organizations concerned with IT.

We are located in the Pattaya area and our competences are primarily Java, Linux, PHP, HTML and database development/hosting.

There are the linux meetings that I havent yet managed since bkk is a fair way from patts.

Plenty of local networking meets but not tech based. M&s is biggest, not sure if lighthouse still goes.

Orherwise not sure if it exists. If it does please let me know. If not, lets start. I am the competition but better to work to further the industry than fight to keep it down. Had similar thoughts of local tech events...
