BANGKOK: -- Bangkok Airways unveils renovated domestic passenger lounges at Chiang Mai International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Bangkok Airways has recently unveiled its newly refurbished domestic passenger lounges at Chiang Mai international airport and Suvarnabhumi international airport. The airline’s new state-of-the-art “Boutique Lounge” and the “Blue Ribbon Club Lounge” at both airports are now open for all passengers.

Ms. Tresarun Sitakalin, Ground Services Director of Bangkok Airways said, “To better accommodate our passengers, our lounges at Chiang Mai International Airport and Suvarnabhumi airport have undergone a major renovation. The new lounges were designed to maximize the space as well as to offer a warmer and cozier atmosphere for our passengers by using different shades of our trademark blue color.”

“Apart from the new cozy modern atmosphere, passengers will also be treated to a multitude of complimentary sumptuous snacks and various choices of hot or cold drinks with free Wi-Fi Internet access. Our lounges at Chiang Mai International Airport can accommodate up to 140 passengers while lounges at Suvarnabhumi International Airport can accommodate up to 285 passengers.” Ms. Tresarun added.

The Boutique and Blue Ribbon Club Lounges at both airports operate daily from 04.30hrs.-22.00 hrs.

I traveled through yesterday, to be honest considering this has taken nearly 6 months to complete I really didn't see much of an improvement on the previous design.

Used Swampy biz lounge, food selection the quality was poor and no BKK Post or Nation newspapers - this at 4.00 in the afternoon !

Now FREE items are being turned down. Free ! What did you expect?

Stop moaning. No other airline offers this FREE service. It's one reason I like to use Bangkok Air.

I actually preferred the old lounge at Swampy. Think it was more comfortable. This ones seems a lot more crammed in, and the seating not as comfortable.
