Which is the best way to send courier from Phuket to Hong Kong?

Do they have courier service at the post office in Phuket (Chalong, Phuket Town)? If I need to send documents only to Hong Kong, which is the quickest way, just post office or a courier like FedEx or DHL (in Phuket Town)?

Or are the local couriers better? At least in mainland China, the local courier are cheaper and faster than DHL and FedEx for sending to Hong Kong. Don't know how it works in Thailand.

The Thai Post Offices has EMS (Express Mail Service) that you can send registered express mail with. There are also DHL, FEDEX and UPS offices around Phuket. I've received packages from all, but I've only sent things through EMS, so I don't know their office locations off hand. A quick Google search:

FEDEX Phuket:

24/5 Thepkasatri Rd, Moo 6

Tumbol Rasada, Amphur Muang
Phuket, 83000 Thailand

DHL:

Phuket - Royal Paradise hotel
135/1 Rat-U-Thit 200 years Rd.,
Kathoo, Amphur Muang,
Phuket 83150 (Patong Beach)
Tel: 076-345-455

Working Hours: Mon-Sat 09.30 am.-06.30 pm.
Cut-off Time: 4.00 pm.
UPS:
UPS Express
Post Office
96/9 Chaloem Phrakiat Road (Opposite Tesco Lotus), Phuket Town, Phuket83000, Thailand

Try phuketcouriers.com. The best way would be direct via air from Phuket Airport. After take-off set and maintain course at 52 deg at any desired flight level. Once over Hainan, throttle back and start a slow and steady descent whilst maintaining a direct course to Hong Kong. Or you could go by sea. It's cheaper but will take longer...

I have recently sent two registered letters to UK via Thailand Post. They both arrived in 7 days and the 'track and trace' service is excellent. It tracked them all the way to delivery. EMS is also excellent but much more expensive. I've only used for internal mail.

I send all the time by registered letter and it's very good, Ems ( 800 bahts ) is expensive but I have not noticed that there is a " track and trace " service with registered letters ; so, how can you do that ? thanks wai2.gif

http://track.thailandpost.co.th/tracking/default.aspx?lang=en

Enter the tracking details on the receipt in the website above, and slide the arrow over to the right

Also works for incoming mail (sent from other countries) using the same system

When you send a registered package, you will be given a receipt which includes the tracking number. Go to http://track.thailandpost.co.th/tracking/default.aspx and type the number into the 'type search' window. Move the slider and you will soon see the progress of your package. At first it comes up in Thai, but if you repeat the request it will come up in English. It tracks the package all the way to delivery. (providing you're not sending it to somewhere like Somalia!!!)

Have a good day. thumbsup.gif

We use DHL (Royal Paradise Hotel) regularly to send documents to Hong Kong. Takes 2 days. Just checked and last time we paid 712 Baht. Easy tracking with the 10 digit number on the Shipment Waybill. Flawless service. Very kind and helpful staff in the small office as well. Provide as many details as possible. DHL prefers to have the name of the receiving person (not just a company name) and his/her mobile number if possible.
