PHUKET: A 27-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday (November 19) after police discovered illegal cough medicines and Viagra pills worth more than B100,000 hidden in her home.

At 3pm, Thalang police and Provincial Public Health officials headed to Pawinee Promprang’s home on Sri Soonthon Rd in Thalang, after police obtained a search warrant from the court.

Police charged Pawinee with selling modern medicine without permission, selling unregistered medicines, as well as possession of a Category 2 psychotropic drug with intent to sell.

Police seized all items, including the boxes of cough medicines and Viagra pills.

Pawinee was taken to Thalang police station where she refused to tell police where she got the medicines.

The Thais actually paid police to set up that neat pill display with the colors all arranged and spaced out neatly. This is a really big bust.

Just the usual tired old stock Thai bashing from a very ignorant hater.

........they mention 'charge'....they do not mention 'sentence'....

Oh, I never saw the photo of her bosom.......

she should have set up table sales at sukumwit nana pay rent to police and make the medicines legal.

What do they mean by illegal? Do they mean she was selling real medicine when she was not allowed to?

Was wondering about the cough medicines. The pills might contain codeine, which is a very effective cough medicine. It used to be available over the counter in the Netherlands, but later not anymore, it is an opium derivative and taking a large quantity makes you intoxicated.

thai police prefer people selling FAKE drugs at full price

than real drugs at a bargain
