Well its a great laugh to read all of that, better than Morcome and Wise(yes Im English) But all these Farang are quite crazy here, in the sun, in the drink, in the sex, in the shit mostly. I live far north, poor villages, The Thai driving gets worse and worse, it begins to frighten me. As a long time driver, I survive, I by learned defesive driving, watching out for the idiots who do not know, do not have the experience! I am a Buddhist, and its a burden some times, A farang who's not a buddhist???? does he care? But my view is , too many f***ing tourist, sod everything up mostly, But I do laugh when I see the old Farang on the bikes, Wind blowing thier hair all over the place! Lonely Planet gives unfair information on places in a number of their books. It's almost funny to see the number of warnings in some of their books about places. useful they may be but a touch too much paranoia in their books makes a lot of people avoid places and doing things they would like to. Usual control bullshit !

Makes perfect sense to me!

You have to watch out for other drivers, dogs and potholes, and that they drive on the left. As for the suicides, never tell your pooying you are naming her as a benificiary. No, better yet....like the old saying "if it drives, floats, flies or boinks" RENT IT!!! Much safer, and the more pooyings you know, the happier you will be.
