It was announced on the Thai television news yesterday that these guys were yielding in 15 million baht per month each.

And now friends of the yellow shirts will be getting this money that is rightfully theirs.

All this is, is making sure friends of the last government no longer get the wealth that the old ruling elite see as being their own.

Did you miss that Somyot was a classmate of the CSD boss?

The connections to the problems in the Deep South are the key to this story.

I'm sure the new head of the DSI, or any other official for that matter, will not comment but it would be nice to know if this case has just suddenly appeared on the radar or was it known about, suspected or even hinted at previously.

The question cannot be answered because it would beg the question why was nothing done ?

I'm sure many will suspect that political affiliations, loyalties etc may have something to do with the current action and possibly why nothing was done earlier.

Of course it hasn't suddenly appeared on anyone's radar and the question can be easily answered.

Thaksin has spent the past 15+ years installing his own (paid for) men and women in the ranks of the Police and other Govt agencies, with all of them protecting each other.

Nothing was done because they were all making too much money whilst always claiming they were doing it for "the people".

Simple.

Hate to spoil your day, but the biggest crook of them all Pongsat was installed by Abhisit in 2010!!coffee1.gif

You're not spoiling anything, don't worry.

When generalizing, there are exceptions to every rule, and when we're talking about the RTP, it's harder to find an honest policeman than it is to find a crooked one.

Having said all that, check back and see who "approved" or "facilitated" most of the higher ups and you'll find Thaksin was behind most of them in one way or another.

One tends to think in cases where one shower of reprobates are in the news every day for one negative thing or another since we are in a state of totalitarian dictatorship why not go for the whole hog as it were and replace the civil police entirely. Who will miss them? The public? No. It strikes me as an excellent opportunity to wipe them off the face of Thailand once and for all. You may retort like a snapping of a whip "but then the military will be just as corrupt" I hear a snotty little cyber voice in the gust of a wind breaking post reply. My answer would be but as they are hardly freedom fighters and the army are hardly crushing the faces of the general public under a might of unreasonable occupation any such corruption within military ranks can be addressed more openly than the present situation where the police and army have an uneasy working relationship.

These are the Bernie Madoff's of Thailand, screwing millions out of the population. They should also get 100 years jail like he did.

Actually,Bernie's ponzi schemes are 'white-collar' in nature - (former)Mr.Big is a civil-servant to the Monarch and the Peoples of Thailand.

He should be charged with Treason and shot.
