I never believe 'Sale' signs here. Standard practice is to hoik prices first and have them up permanently. If I want something I'll have it and haggle (even in the malls), but no sale sign is going to make me go 'ooh' while walking down the street because I know it's BS!

Like many post said already never a real sale in Thailand. Just more smoke and mirrors.

It's vote buying and if others were doing it, people would be screaming corruption because political parties are organising gifts and freebies to get people to love them.

What a fantastic idea !. Make the people feel happy by spending all their cash on goods to hoard, which should reduce the horrific road fatalities and accident figures over the " season of death ", as there will be no money left for them to spend on booze and yaba.
