PHUKET: -- Investigations Police Captain, Ms Pornthip Chumsri, today responded to an alert that an elderly man had passed away at a short time motel in Phuket Town.

Ms Pornthip met Kusoldham emergency response volunteers at the motel, located on Komapat Rd of Muang District’s Tambon Talad Yai.

In room number 20, with its door wide open, police found the lifeless corpse of an elderly man lying on the bed, wearing only a bright pink towel and with his legs spread wide open.

Also in the room was woman, whose name has been withheld, and who was in a state of shock.

The deceased was identified as Mr Samart Utasaha, 72 of Rawai.

His clothes were hung neatly at the foot of the bed, and investigators did not find any signs of a struggle.

Near the bed, Police did find an open package of pharmaceuticals, which they said “resembed Viagra”.

A motel staffer told police that the deceased and the girl had checked in the motel at 10.30am this morning at a rate of B100 for a two hour visit, but at around 11am, the female guest had alerted staff to call for help because her fellow guest was suffering a heart attack.

The corpse has been transported to Wachira Hospital for further investigation.

Not sure if his ending was happy, but he probably departed while thinking happy thoughts at least.

"I'd rather go out peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.

Not screaming in fiery pain like the passengers in his car."

There is a serious side to the event - viagra type pills can be dangerous, especially in the elderly. A friend of mine in the UK died at the age of 61 after taking a viagra type medication. This is the second case I have heard of.

According to statistics (2011) of Germany's Federal Health Office and the US FDA (Food & Drug Administration) it had been reported that 30 died in Germany, 77 in Europe and 616 worldwide after taking Viagra.

Got to go someday, may as well enjoy yourself in your last years - seems as though he was making the most of his time left.

What a cracker.....Lucky old bastard.....He entered the short time room at 10.30am, it took him 28.5 minutes to get undressed, and he flew into the afterlife after a minute and a half of mad rambling to the echoe's of "Are you in yet" and at 11am he shoots out the window, and off to meet his maker. Now that would have been a beautiful way to go. God bless him, lucky old bugger. A big smile on his face, and a bigger smile on ours. clap2.gif

The only "good way to go" about this was before suffering a heart attack he was pursuing a lifestyle of sex with prostitutes in Thailand. That's better than having a heart attack after living a dull life as a pensioner in the West (as some there, but not all, do).

However, dying in excruciating pain is never a good way to go. Stop deluding yourselves.

What a load of sanctimonious rubbish.

He was probably always going to die of a heart attack

Why not while you're getting your rocks off with whoever!

What I find strange is that it was originally developed as a heart medicine
