You Can’t Overlook Khao Hin Lek Fai in Hua Hin

HUA HIN:-- It’s a ‘must see’ local attraction that many ‘don’t see’! Not only the weekend visitor or holiday maker, but many people who have spent years living in in Hua Hin have only looked up at the hill, rather down over the panoramic landscape and ‘cityscape’ below.

Hua Hin Today may also have been ignoring the obvious. We have had many stories about happenings such as concerts, cycling and running/jogging events; but not about the reasons why everyone should climb the hill! Here’s why! Views, Views, View There are six viewpoints on Khao Hin Lek Fai each overlooking different parts of Hua Hin and surrounds.

Viewpoint 4 is a large purpose built platform facing south with a great view all the way to Khao Takiab. Viewpoint 5 is of the north towards ChaAm. Viewpoint 2 overlooks Hua Hin town centre and the ocean. Relax, Relax, Relax The level area at the peak covers 140 acres of public park. If you are not into exercise, Hin Lek Fai is also a great place to just relax.
Bring a good book to read or just enjoy some quiet time away from the bustle of the city. Weekends are always the busiest times, so go during the week if you want to have some time alone. How to Get There It is situated about 3km west of the town centre. Follow Chomsin Road (Soi 70) over the railway line and instead of bearing right with the road to Pala U, keep going straight ahead. It’s a steep climb to the top. Soi 88 is an alternative route.
The park area is open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and admission is free. There is an ample car park at the top. GPS location: GPS – N 12 33.590, E 99 56.449. You just can’t overlook Hin Lek Fai; that is unless you take a helicopter ride!
