Pool Table

Featured Replies

Just moved into a house with a nice big area that we don't use. Obviously don't want to fill it up with in-laws, so I was thinking about a pool table.

Anyone know how much a half decent one costs? Secondhand would be ok.

Dont know about used for sure-met a guy who works as salesman for Soveriegn tables-9' pro tournament is 165k-8' pro is 120k-8' "bargrade" is 68k-new tables quoted in Pattaya

I was thinking about buying one about 2 years ago (but never did :o )

9ft american pool tables are about 100-150k, 6 ft pool tables without coin slot are about 65k.It is very hard to find either of these second hand and when you do they hold their price very well.

The quarter size snooker tables as used by a lot of bars are (I think) about 35k new but there are always second hand ones about. They go from 10k upwards, depending on condition.

A new cloth,if I remember correctly, is about 8 k fitted.

Seriously though....

Do the "bar" ones mentioned at 68k have a slate bed, or just chipboard ? I am thinking of getting one too, but I don't want something that will warp. Especially as I plan to have it in a large sala so open to damp air etc...

I bought a beautiful slate 8x4 snooker table. Same as pool, but with asmall pockets. I got it from Phuket Billiards. It cost somewhere between 65 & 70,000 and that was with lights, cues, chalk, balls, triangle, cover, rests, cue stand and xcomplete fitting on site. It never was used much, so last week I sold it for 45,000.
