i am a regular walker up Monkey Hill in Phuket Town , does anyone have directions for a bush walk route from the bottom of the hill to the very top ? i walk up the sealed road but have been told a scenic bush walk is also another way to go .... any ideas where the entry to it is ?

I only know the "upper" end, which is near the viewing platform in the right turn about two hundred meters before the TV station on top of the hill. You might try walking/climbing down from there...

Go through the main entrance (past the temple) and about 50 meters on you will see a concrete road that is the 'back entrance' to the temple, which is typically gated shut. Walk around the gate, on the right side, and the trail begins there.

There is a group of mostly retired Thai guys who go up every day at about 3pm-3:30pm using this trail.

The trail is also well known to any boy scouts or girl guides from many schools in the area who have to walk up it.
