Thais will give you the answer you want to hear at the best of times. When asked about phoo yai's several stratospheres socially higher, they will revert to the safest answer and just defer to those with most power and wealth.

The Nation reporters have all gone back to the villages for their annual break.........looks like the Editor is in charge now..........

A military general cum PM, and a Hermes shopper voted as the most outstanding leaders.....

The generals gonna just love being comapred as an equal to a Shinawatra............

Guess news of the rice scam Yingluck presided over has not reached Isan yet......

That's Thainess in all its glory, having ones cake and eating it too.

Easy to figure out why they voted this way---these two gave them the most money/benefits.

Maybe Suthep had a point after all, some people are too stupid to vote!

Outstanding leaders: Yingluck and Prayuth cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Yeah, cause that's the only scam that a politician has ever committed in this country. Not excusing it but people seem to forget the billions that the military have and continue to scam for their own pockets.

Polling myself right now.

I think the media have started to heat up a little bit....sneaking a little more 'truth' into the press each day.

Guess why they distinguish between male and female? :)

58 percent of the respondents said no female administrators were qualified.

There may be hope for the country after all, if 58% of those polled in Issan think that Yingluck wasn't qualified, imagine what the numbers in the rest of the country would be.

Guess why they distinguish between male and female? smile.png

Could it possible have something to do with the generals fear of second places??

Give a third option to yourself.

Laugh and cry for Yingluck.

Admire the present PMthumbsup.gif

The most likely of scenarios... Bah!

Two posts with inappropriate language removed along with replies quoting same

Yingluck 36%, Prayuth 34%. laugh.png

(Yes, I know it's two different voting categories. Still funny, unless your name is Prayuth.)

You just can't make this up.

Well, with all the comments on polls from the last few days I got the impression people here thought, were really convinced, that you could make this up, at least in Thailand rolleyes.gif

Am fully aware of that. That is the history of Thailand. However the rice scam was

somewhat notable for the mind boggling numbers for the money that was " lost ".....

Not enough information on the methodology to be able to assess the validity of this poll, of course (sampling, questionnaire, etc...).

And as usual, in current political conditions, there is no guarantee that respondents express their real opinion. It's also a pity they have published separate rankings for male and female, as you cannot compare the results of the two categories.

However, they did not make themselves ridiculous with results such as "93% of respondents like..." :),

did they get to choose who would vote?

And, back home in England, David Cameron and Ed Milliband were voted as the two best candidates to lead Britain forward next year. Some clown with a French name actually made it to third place.
Nearly as absurd as Barack Obama and Mitt Romney being regarded as the two best men to run America !!

After yesterdays claim that western governments are to work with Thai government to clamp down on anti Thai comments…..its pointless reading anything they say.

Well I know for a fact the news has reached Surin Province. I was down at the wife's family rice farm during the harvest recently and the farmers there were very angry about the poor money they received for their crop this year. Funny thing was they were blaming the previous government, not the junta.

I am going to "invest" in pigs, along with my sister-in-law and her husband. They need a sideline to supplement their income and pigs are a good way to bring in a little extra cash in between rice crops.

Administrators ! giggle.gif It would be really funny if not so serious.

YL chaired the committee overseeing the rice scheme and her defence to the resulting mess is that she never attended any meetings so how could she know what was going on.

The PM administers by military re-education units in the provinces and attitude adjustment for those who do or say anything he doesn't like.

Yes indeed top flight administrators.

I can see the logic in this: Cantinflas was a great Mexican President, Benny Hill a superb British PM. w00t.gifw00t.gifw00t.gif
