Samsung Thailand support only in Thai language?

Featured Replies

Does Samsung Thailand have an English language support site?

I recently tried to get a support question answered about my Samsung tablet still under warranty purchased in Thailand. Their web site was all in Thai so I asked their Singapore branch. When they saw I was in Thailand, with a Thai Samsung product, Samsung Singapore ignored me and would not help with English language support for Thai products, or suggest anything but the Thai language site.

Why not use the Chrome browser and click on "Translate to English?"

Thanks guys, I somehow missed the foreigner link on their home page before and Google Translate slowed down in the process on my slow net. Trying to get support help on a specific product, will try again on the two ideas above.

I never saw the "foreigner" link before either. At any rate, it's botrh an improvement in recognizing foreigners, yet a farce in that all it does is pop up a message that says "Call us or go into live chat". It doesn't provide any actual English language website support. Samsung makes great products, but this is pretty short-sighted to assume that everyone who buys their products in Thailand reads/writes Thai. They offer English for other regional sites like Hong Kong and Singapore . . . why not Thailand? Really, a case could be made for offering English as a second language for just about any non-English website they have throughout the world.

Samsung isn't the only .co.th website not available in English despite being part of a world wide company with numerous English language sites. It would be nice if the Samsung Thai site had an English button however it does translate well using Chrome.

Singapore sites are normally available in English because unlike Thailand, English is an official language there, and the language for business, government and education. It is the most commonly understood of the four official languages in Singapore (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil & English). It's rare now to meet anyone under 40 who does not speak it to at least a conversational level, not so Thailand.

Also there foreigner link on the Thai website of Samsung is only in Thai language!

Apparently they do not want foreign customers. My Samsung laundry machine is broken, we called them and they

promised to call us back. Nothing happened, this is 2 weeks ago. Bad service of such a well known company.

Samsung used to be a company with good products, many years ago, but profits have taken the priority over quality and service.

I used to be a Samsung fanboy, but will not buy a Samsung product again if i can avoid.

The same for me, i will also avoid to buy any Samsung products if i can avoid. I have bad experiences with many Samsung products, Laundry machine, Air conditioners, vacuum cleaner etc. They are ok for one year and than you get problems. This laundry machine is only a couple of years old, hardly used and needed repair already two times.

Also, use Chrome as it has a translation feature to render the site in English.

Hi,

Yes, I know that it's a 2015 thread, but things seem to not be better in 2018

I tried to get English documentation on a product available (only?) in Thailand, but failed.

The link above (/foreigner) leads to using Call Center only...

and http://www.samsung.com/th/ seems to be denied when using Chrome !

PS:

I managed to use the LiveChat in Thai. This doc doesn't exist in English

Now looking on Malaysia, Singapore and other neighbour countries with an English Samsung site

No doubt same (or very similar) product must be sold outside Thailand too.

Samsung not good on this point :post-4641-1156694606:
