First you go to Loa and get three months Visa which is called a Probation period.

My question is the first year i got three month,s Probation Period, and then a Year. my first year with an Ed Visa.

What will happen in the second year will i get the same, fifteen months, the school say one year, and the first school said the same.

My question is there a law on this, and i asked the lawyers, they don,t know, and the school say one yea there, so has anybody had the same experience.

This is at Chiang Mai Emigration, and in the second year, do they test you in Thai, when you go for a ninety day report.

One more question, is where can i get the Six Nation rugby on TV which program, like true 2, and so on

You seem to be somewhat confused. Go to any appropriate Thai government web site to get the information. As an unofficial but generally accurate source of information, check the PINNED threads oin ThaiVisa. Don't pay attention to informal posts on Thai Visa.

Check Setanta sports for the 6 nations. They show most rugby games. The UN Irish pub will be showing it.

I never heard of a 3 month probation period. Now I am in my second year ED Visa at Pro Language and it worked like this:

First year have to go abroad, maybe Viantiane, and buy a Visa for the first 3 month. Then buy a new Visa every 3 month at the CM immigration for 1900 Baht and do the 90 day reports. Second year i payed the 1900 Baht only once and get the visa for one year. Only had to do the 90 day reports of course. Now my school told me about new rules, which means you have go abroad every year to buy the Visa over there and then every 3 month a new visa (1900 cool.png at the CM immigration. Make sense as it generates more money. I never been tested about my thai language skills at the immigration, but I heard some other guys need to do some conversation in thai.So it coul happen. good luck 4u

Testing of Thai language skills is becoming more common, particularly for "students" who have been enrolled a while. More testing to come, it is supported by the better schools.

I never heard of it, too but that is what the office at Chiang Mai told me, so i got one year and three months, so there must be some law on it. and you only pay one time at Vietan 1900 and three more payments total 5700 plus your 1900 in vietnan,

the 1 year or 6 month ED extensions are a thing of the past.

The rules just changed in Sept/Oct 14

Now pretty sure everybody goes every 90 days for 1900 baht extension.

You better like getting up at 5:30 am to get in line.

Can check the Visa forum but pretty sure 90 days only.

Exactly, but I think in Vientiane I payed 2000 or 2100. And like CobraSnakeNecktie said and I tried to explain, every 90 days the 1900 Baht for extension at the immigration.

Aren't there different rules for Lang Schools (Walen) compared to someone studying Thai at a University (Payap)? Systems were abused, you could see the crackdowns coming.

The entire trip to Laos and back cost about $300 USD, or 10000 baht at the time. Then 1900 every 90 days. I do know of people who got their visa before coming into Thailand, so at the airport they got their ED stamp. If you are not in Thailand yet and want to do an ED visa, look into it now with your school and appropriate consulate.
