knee health

Featured Replies

My knees were always loose, there is some side way movement like a broken bearing and I can bend them a long way backwards. move the kneecap almost out of the knee.

On the right one I had several accidents that sometimes need a year till pain-free (never been in the hospital). I guess some tendons have something like scars.

Now I start to go with a racing bike. Nothing hurts, but at high rpm it feels a bit wrong. Not in the joint but like tendons or the surface the go over have scars/friction.

I am doing squats with weight without problems as well. I do good warm up on everything.

I know very well when the knee get problems, it is difficult to get it good again.

My question: is there something I can do before I get a problem to keep the knee happy? Tiger balm, special exercise, tablets that improve lubrication???

Anything?

Without knowing what, if anything, is wrong with your knee there is no way anyone can advise you on what is and is not safe for you to do.

The only advice I can give is to consult a specialist in sports medicine. Dr. Panya at Bumrungrad is very good.

The cost will be nothing, in terms of either time or money, compared to what you will face if you injure your knee later, so I think a well worth it investment.
