And then, when you think you are safe, thousands of miles away from Thailand. You go out for the evening to show off your tan - and there he is. Doing his thing down the pub.

He owns properties in many countries.

Elvis is still alive?!?

John Rambo was fighting in a one-on-one fight & living in a monastery while working on the monastery. I wonder if he had a work permit. The movie didn't say

He's a childhood legend in the UK, bbi1.

Peter Christopherson of Coil lived in Thailand from 2005 until his death in 2010 (I'm not exactly sure if he died in Thailand or England, though).

The thriller author Stephen Leather did (does?) live in Bangkok.

Had a beer with him a month ago;. real class act. Even sported me a pint.

If you have any serious cash why would you invest in something you can't own, be at the mercy of any whim the local police chief dreams up and expect to have to pay bribes for anything important you want doing within a legal system that is as corrupt as much as it is broken. Mere mortals such as myself are happy to put up with the imperfect because the advantages outweigh the disadvantages (for the present anyway).

Exactly!

Jimmy Page from Led Zepplin spends a lot of time in Pattaya.

When there he plays guitar in a blues club.

I can't recall the name of it.

I hope he has a work permit. Only kidding.

I'm pretty sure Andy McNab lives in Thailand

Is that the wee Scottish guy who ????????

I disagree, he is pretty low profile, blending into his surroundings by wearing a Chang Beer vest and poorly fitting shorts hanging off his beer belly - camouflage Pattaya style.

Definitely a wee Scottish guy in a skirt (kilt).
