PHUKET: -- A postal worker was pulled to safety this morning after spending around three hours teetering at the edge of the roof of the Kaeha Rassada Credit Union building, some 40 metres above ground.

Police commission endorsed mass transfer of metropolitan police

BANGKOK: -- In a major reshuffle of metropolitan police, the police service commission today (Wednesday) approved the transfer of 14 deputy commanders and 59 superintendents many of them were implicated in alleged irregularities, including the LCD advertising billboard scandal.

TAT: New Year tourist number jumps across country

PRD to provide broadcasts for national reform

BANGKOK, 7 January 2015 (NNT) – The Public Relations Department (PRD) will be adjusting its new broadcast service through its media channels to keep the public informed on the progress of national reform on 14 January.


The Director-General of the PRD Apinan Juntarungsri has revealed that the PRD has adjusted the broadcasting schedule of its media outlets to accommodate for the special programs that will keep the public informed on the progress of national reform.

The special programs, which will start broadcasting from 14 January 2015 on NBT station, includes a broadcast from the members of the National Reform Council (NRC) everyday during 8:30pm - 9:30 pm, and the ‘Voices of the People’ program every Sunday on 8:30pm - 10:30 pm.

The PRD Director-General said that the network organisations of the PRD in each province will prioritize on the national reform agenda, and will be in direct support of the local public hearing stages.

A member of the NRC Dr. Suebpong Thammachat said that there will be discussions and public opinion exchange in events set in 13 major provinces of Thailand, namely Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Ayutthaya, Ratchaburi, Rayong, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani, Satun, Bangkok, and Nakhon Sithammarat.

He said that the event in Nakhon Si Thammarat will take place on 27 March 2015 and the discussion will be broadcasted live via the NBT station. People in other areas are advised to check for additional information which will specify the date and location of the discussion in their provinces.

Red shirts to not rally to pressure NLA: Worachai

BANGKOK: -- The United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship and other red-shirt groups will not hold a rally at Parliament on Thursday and Friday, former Pheu Thai MP and red-shirt leader Worachai Hema said Wednesday.


The National Legislative Assembly is scheduled to deliberate impeachment cases against former Parliament president Somsak Kiartsuranon, former Parliament vice president Nikhom Wairachpanich and former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Thursday and Friday.

Prayut to put up life-sized picture for kids to post for photos
