Pattaya robbers crash Russian tourists' romantic evening

Featured Replies

From my experience, if you do stupid things in Pattaya you will get punished. Drinking in the middle of the night in an unprotected, dark area is stupid. Pay the prize!

They were lucky not to pay the ultimate price.

  • Romantic setting must have a different meaning for Russians. Their so called table is an overturned tub used for mixing cement. Their wine looks like Chinese made champagne (200 thb at Tesco/Lotus). B

  • I'm sure they're in a rush to book next year's vacation, and tell all their friends back home what a wonderful place Thailand is.

Nothing smacks of true romance like an upturned cement mixing bin, a plastic rose in a cheap vase ,I mean 'bouquet'; and a rooftop bevvy on the roof of a dirty building in stinking god awful Pattaya.

Surely there's a movie in this 'love for the ages' story?

Not on the roof of any building, stinking or otherwise, it was on the helipad at Pratumnak hill.

That is a lovely romantic location - its where I got down on one knee and asked my first bar girl not to rob me.
