Manhunt launched for rapist-murderer in Nakhon Phanom

NAKHON PHANOM: -- Police in Nakhon Phanom’s Pla Park district have launched a manhunt for a rapist-murderer who raped and killed a nine-year old girl on January 3.

The victim went missing on January from her house in village 6, Ban Thavorn, Tambon Mahachai where she had been living with her grandparents. Her parents broke up and have reportedly been working in other provinces.

However, her body was found the following day buried beside a swamp in the village by neighbours and police were alerted.

Pol Colonel Permsak Srisoda, the police superintendent of Pla Park district police, said today that the case was a very serious one and, therefore, the perpetrator would have to be arrested and brought to trial.

The victim’s father who rushed home after being informed of the tragedy said he felt very sorry for the loss of his daughter. He added that the heinous crime was totally unacceptable.

RIP to the poor little girl. And rip to the perp, as in "rip him apart".

(ThaiPBS, please employ native English speakers.)

Yes, I doubt that either the police officer or the father spoke in the way that this translation depicts.

Maybe the "father", (if you can call him that all)

would be so kind to explain to us,

just what would be an acceptable method

to rape and murder this innocent little girl.

Makes me sick these so called parents.

So Pol Colonel Permsak Srisoda said today that the case was a very serious one,

and, therefore, the perpetrator would have to be arrested and brought to trial?

Really?

Were you just going to let this not be investageted and have this pile of crap

run free?

OH... I get it....no pay off...case closed.
