Visa run on short notice

Featured Replies

So anyway, my visa entry expires on the 20th (enter before) date, and I need to leave before the 19th (tomorrow!).

I planned to do a run to Malaysia, as many do. I booked with one company, paid to secure my seat... and the night before they are due to pick me up (tonight) at around 10:00pm (after everyone is closed) they call to cancel... they had a "good" customer who needed my seat. Terrible, terrible service.

Anyway, I need to find an alternative, and I need to find one fast.

Could anyone PM me with any recommended visa run companies (preferably in Chaweng) that could arrange something for me on such short notice?

I know that recommending companies is forbidden on the public forum.

Thanks, all!

Many officers issue on the 'use before' date but it is not a given. I spoke to an immigration officer (Sadao) about this a couple of years back and apparently the wording in the operations manual states entry must be made before the date expires (20th in your case). Pot luck to some extent.

Yeah, but I don't really have a choice now, unfortunately. If they say no, all I can do is plead due to the incompetence of the company that delayed me by 2 days.

Still no recommendations from anyone... but I'll be going around to ask several companies this morning

Herbert, for a qwick visa.

HDVisa.

Thanks, HDVisa goes on Tuesday, and every 2nd day after, I believe.

I gave MySamui a call... but they only go on Friday.

The company that screwed me is next door to another company, so I won't go there...

I will be going around to ask the agents in the area... failing that, organize my own travel by bus, minibus, etc.

Bus from Donsak to Surat and get the train to Had Yai before a minibus. Need to spend the night in Had Yai or Surat on the way back though.

Thanks to everyone for the help, the PMs, and the good words.

I ended up booking a trip with the company at Central Festival.

Hopefully all should go smoothly!

Hope it all turns out swimmingly.

It did!

The company in Central were agents for another company called Lamai (something).

Good service, only 10 people in the van (maximum). Got picked up and dropped off on the Samui ring road. Comfortable all the way.

They also have runs for Koh Phangan. 1 of our passengers we picked up in Samui changed vans at the border and went back to Koh Phangan with their group, and another was dropped off at Raja ferry on the way home to go to Phangan.
