January 21, 201511 yr Noticed the TAT officer is once again open at the old / original location across from the Iron Bridge, in between Duke's and Rim Ping. A completely new office building has been built over the last year or two, and it's now open again. It just doesn't look very open due to the design of the big wooden front door.. But it's open. It looks nice for a big office building, happy to see them in the location still indicated on many maps, and no longer in temporary offices here and there. Good free maps and the like, worth stepping in for tourists.
January 22, 201511 yr Stopped in today. If you read Thai a fair amount of literature. The English speaking was not really a lot of. I asked if I could have one pamphlet and they said no. Nice wheel chair ramp in to the building with the statue of a lion at the top which is blocking the way. I doubt any one on crutches could get by it. They are new and maybe they will learn as they go.
