No game time for townsend, looks a long way back for him. All positive s 2 night barring our lack of command in the air at the back.

That was impressive from our second string. I would have loved to see 17 year old Carter-Vickers get a run out , i want to see what all the fuss is about! Our academy is raving about him.

Josh Onomah started his first game and impressed, as did Tom Carrol.

As Rij commented, Townsend looks certain to leave in january which is no loss to us as he has little or no chance of breaking into the first team.

Everybody reads your posts alfie boy..meanwhile Monaco the previous big boys of the French division @ the lane , remember when signed hoddle from us. Shame there's just top spot riding on this , is there any benefit from this, do we avoid the champion lge drop out boys ? Games like this ALMOST make the. Other shittl8r little long journey ties worthwhile . But as the eastern European teams improve,, perhaps these games might /won't seem quite so bad.. Just a thought.

Have DNA tests confirmed that was actually Lamela ?biggrin.png

He did say "second string".

Mind you there was some fine comedy goalkeeping on display.

That would Probably be the worse draw, probably best for us to avoid the Spanish or German maybe best would be one of the french teams, my gut feeling is they won't like our up and at them style. But tbh think were more than a match for all on that list

dont know much about this guy were rumored to be interested in Michy Batshuayi

but has some pretty fierce stats

20112014 Standard Liège 97 (39)

2014 Marseille 42 (19)

National team

20122014 Belgium U21 13 (7)

2015 Belgium 2 (2)

We appear to be putting in a cheeky bid of 15m but they are looking for nearer 50m so don't get your hopes up!

Dembele, Mason and Clinton all out of todays fixture.

We'll just have to hope our Belgium quartet Can big us up enuf in the dressing room to convince the lad, saying that i'de still be hapi with berihino, just soon b4 pullis the pens totally stalls his career.

Just watched MOTD 2 must admit it was very enjoyable watching the first game on.

The amount of chances Spurs didn't take in the first half shocking.

Good effort from Newcastle and a brace of decent goals from them.

Puts that nonsense unbeaten run to bed at least.

Well that was <deleted> awful in the second half.....should have had that dead and buried after half an hour.

A terrible result....chequebook time in Jan.

Do the barcodes now have a better chance of top 4 than Spurs (or Chelsea come to that)?

On the evidence of that match what the hell is McLaren doing starting Mitrovich and Perez on the bench? (Edit: Ah - Perez is recovering fitness)

Hey Smokes. Remember when Stoke beat us and you came on the City thread

Always said Shitty were overrated. tongue.png

Funny as all fark that was!

Back at you buddy laugh.png

We were nowhere near as bad as you were in that match....look at the stats.

We just couldn't get the ball in the net!

At least you got beat by one of the best-worked goals of the season! Expect to suffer the pain of seeing that one a few times again.

At least Smokie turned up to comment - was hoping to get the oft-repeated Carmine comment in - "quiet on here this morning innit?"

this i am sure mclaren got it right.

we were tired after another 'europe' outing.

so, we were down on gas after 60 mins and Toon fresh legs killed of the game.

Badly missed Dembele and Carroll certainly wasn't up to it, thought he might have started with Bentaleb or at least brought him on but obviously Poch had his reasons smile.png
