Hi everyone, I'm planning to travel to Hanoi and want to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) (remote work / digital nomad category). I work remotely and have been doing so consistently for a while now – my income is stable enough to live normally here with a safety cushion for emergencies. I could handle the application myself, but I don't fully meet the official requirements yet: Proof of 500,000 THB in a bank account (I don't have that much liquid right now). A proper work contract, employment letter, or similar strong proof of remote work (my setup is freelance-ish / recent, so docs are weak). I've contacted several agencies, and one is offering to help by providing the missing documents (especially the bank proof and a "real" work contract or equivalent). Their suggested process: Go to Hanoi, Vietnam. Apply for DTV through them (they handle submission, presumably at the Thai embassy/consulate there). Wait in Vietnam until approval (or rejection). Then return to Thailand on the approved DTV. They haven't given full details yet on exactly what documents they'd provide (e.g., for the "soft power" / workcation / remote work category), but it sounds like they'd supply something to make up for what I lack. Questions for those with experience: Has anyone used an agency like this for DTV (especially from Vietnam/Hanoi) and actually gotten approved? Is this a common/trustworthy practice, or does it often involve fake/altered docs? Even if the documents look "real" on paper, could this still be legitimate, or is it basically fraud? What are the real risks? (E.g., rejection later, blacklisting, issues on future entries/extensions, legal trouble if caught?) Worst case for me seems like losing the application fee (~10,000 THB or whatever they charge + embassy fee), but is it worse than that? I'm hesitant because I've read about fake document schemes for Thai visas leading to big problems (rejections, bans, etc.). Any honest experiences or advice would be really helpful before I decide.
