Hi

I have have looked at past threads concerning this and am still abit confused after downloading a couple of the programmes.

I wish to compress my DVD down to about a 700-1000MB avi or mpeg file for play back on my pc and to maybe put all my DVDs onto my HDD.

Can anyone recomend a simple programme to do this. I imagine to get a decent picture I will have to only compress the actual movie and not the entire DVD.

Any help is most welcome. And if its freeware then that would be better. Although I could go get it for 100bht if you recommend a good one.

Pocket-DVD Studio is very good especially if you have a PDA or PSP etc. I use it for my OQO Handtop PC to keep a lot of movies and Tv Shows for those long trips

if you can find a copy of easydivx, it use to be for free and does it quiet well, PM me if you cant find a copy of it

ImTOO DVD to DivX Converter works well and is foolproof (I can use it)

They also do a DVD to WMV converter which may be worth looking at

DVD Cloner 3 - strip out everything, and just rip your movie. Very easy.
