Apparently Stein Dokset has been sentenced to 9 years. really no surprise, he admitted to killing her but I presume the prosecutor could not prove he intended to kill her. he already has served 3 years, so only 6 to go.

It also appears he arrived on Phuket in 2003, I always thought he has been living here longer than that.

Good luck to him. He'll serve his time and be deported back to Norway to live with his old parents.
