How To Get To Penang 4 Visarun?

Featured Replies

Hi!

My touristvisa has now been extended for 30 extra days, and soon I have to do the visarun. I live in Phuket and I want to go to Penang, prefferably by plane. Which airlines fly there from Phuket? I've only found Thai air, and Malaysian claim they are fully booked or something like that. Do Malaysian fly from Phuket-Penang or not?

Can I go there by bus or is it to long? I'vw found no visa run companies that go to Penang, only Ranong.

And also is it difficult to get a multiple or triple touristvisa in Penang? Let's say I have a double, what does that mean exactly?

And lastly is it possible to get a Non Immigrant visa solely for the reason that I want to see my thai bf?

Thanks and hoping for answers asap.

Non immigrant to see BF? Not likely but if with you it would probably be more likely than not with you - it used to be possible but I seriously doubt it today.

A two entry tourist visa would be valid for 2 x 60 day entries and each could be extended for 30 days.

There might be a flight to Hat Yai and from there you can take share taxi, van, bus or train service to Penang/Georgetown/Butterworth.

As far as I am aware, THAI and Malaysia airlines codeshare on the Phuket- Penang route.
