Roi Et holds an exposition on traditional Thai and alternative medicines

ROI ET, 6 Mar 2015 (NNT) - Roi Et Province is currently holding an exposition on the Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine.

Director General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Dr. Twatchai Kamontham, yesterday chaired the opening ceremony of the exposition which was being held at the Somdet Phrasrinakarin Garden in Roi Et.

The event is the 7th of its kind, and is a part of the local annual ‘Bun Phawet’ merit making festival. The exposition showcases new innovations and exhibition on the Thai traditional and complementary medicines and their application in the era of the ASEAN Economic Community.

The fair is also an excellent ground for experts in the field to mingle and exchange their ideas.

Event goers can also purchase a wide range of herbal medicines and try out Thai traditional treatment at the fair.

Organizers expect that more than 10-thousand people including practitioners, health officials and interested youths would visit the exposition this year.

What a pity it is being held over on that side of Thailand as I would have liked to visit it.

It is about a 500 km each way trip for me plus most probably 2 overnights.

thaland has (hopefully) some good quality herbs... sadly in english, the instruction is very limited...

for example curcumin, in english they only write : against flatulence ... while it does so much more in the body...

if people were more educated about nutrician, herbs & supplements, than doctor visits could go down a big percentage ...

prevention in stead of a plaster on a wooden leg ...as big pharma does not cure anything, only gives you something for 1 symptom

and sadly, MD's only learn to be a pill pusher for the big pharma and do not know anything about nutrician, even less about supplements as they don't earn a comission on that what cannot be patented

Pleased to see that there is at least two of us in the world now that understand this!!!!

Reactions and side effects are virtually unheard of with good quality vitamins, supplements, herbs and the like - often the side effects are far worse than what they are supposed to be treating with conventional drugs.
